The hotel, located high in the Pyrenees Mountains and close to the French border, was built at the end of the nineteenth century. Along the route of the famous Camino de Santiago pilgrimage and located close to the popular ski resorts of Candanchu and Astun.

Area information: You will find the Candanchú and Astún ski resorts just 4km from the hotel.
In the surrounding area there is nature, mountain landscapes, Pyrenean flora and fauna and many hiking routes suitable for all capabilities.
Also on the area: Camino de Santiago, 11th century churches and Romanesque monasteries, villages with Pyrenean traditional architecture, adventure sports and the Pyrenees national park 5km away (France).
By car from Pau (France):
- Take the N134 motorway for Oloron-Sainte Marie and continue, following signs for Espagne-Somport.
- Continue pass Accous and Urdos and through Somport's tunnel, follow signs for Candanchú-Astún.
- Pass the town of Canfranc-Estación and continue for around 2 kilometres and you will find the Hotel Santa Cristina.
If you fancy a scenic route through the mountain motorways, not advisable in winter, take the Coll du Somport route instead of the Somport's tunnel. 5 kilometres from the border of France and Spain you will find the hotel on the left hand side of the motorway.
By car from Spain:
- Follow signs for Jaca in Huesca and take the N330 motorway for France.
- Pass the towns of Castiello, Villanúa, Canfranc, (do not take Somport's tunnel), and follow signs for Canfranc-Estación then Candanchú and Astún.
- 2 kilometres from Canfranc-Estación, there is a exit on the right where you will find the hotel.
