In his travel journal, Montaigne was enchanted by the supreme beauty of the Alsace plain, flanked by the hills where the famous Alsace Wine Trail snaked its way through, linking the vineyard to the traditional villages and their half-timbered houses, always in full bloom. Overlooking the medieval town of Rouffach, the Château d'Isenbourg and its 12th and 14th Century cellars still recall the names of Dagobert and Charlemagne. The 4 hectares of the ‘Parc du Château' enable our visitors to enjoy the peaceful surroundings at the heart of the vineyard. This elegant building has 41 rooms and suites with real character as well as a gourmet restaurant, ‘les Tommeries', for lovers of the finest cuisine. Gastronomy and culinary heritage is celebrated here, accompanied by vintage wines from Alsace and other regions. This charming château will give you a warm welcome reflecting the high standards of the place.
